technique TrackIt is open source under MIT license so you are welcome to do on top of it whatever you want. However it is just a tracking UI with basic features inside more targeted to be used as a sample. Comprehensive tracking application for end-user is usually much more heavy and feature-full.
Any custom application even on top of flespi will cost you even more thousands of dollars where you will have to implement on your own various systems like billing, invoicing, user and account management, UI customization and so on. With a white/grey labeling solution there is always somebody who already invested his time and money into these features and if they are already available it can be a good option to take it even if their implementation is not fit your vision 100%.
I do not know what exactly market you are targeting but in Gurtam we have very fresh and responsive app for security oriented GPS tracking services in SMB called Forguard. You can check it or it's little B2C-segment brother named Ruahvik. These apps are good samples of what can be done on top of flespi. However if you want to develop something of the same quality it will still cost you some money and obviously you will need a good team-lead grade developer to architect your solution. People often underestimate the importance of good application architecture which usually is the product of experienced engineer work.
So, if you want to develop something the very first step is to find a good solution architect. Once partnered together he should help you to reach your goal with any team of coder type of developers. In case you will have troubles finding such a partner you may also look to a list of companies that has some experience with flespi oriented telematics application development. However good lead-architect partner in your own team is the best way to go with such a project.
